DV2T Gelation Time Measuring Rotational Viscometer

The DV2T Brookfield rotational viscometer equipped with a gelation time measurement function is capable of measuring the gelation time. The measurement is carried out using a unique magnetic connector that attaches the glass rod to the instrument. When the sample reaches its gelation time, the display shows both the gelation time and the corresponding viscosity value. The glass rod can be quickly and easily detached from the instrument. The integrated temperature probe provides peak exothermic data when necessary.

Brookfield AMETEK DVNext Rotational Viscometer with Gelation Time Measurement Function

The DV2T viscometer with gelation time measurement function uses a unique magnetic coupling to measure gelation time. The magnetic connector securely attaches the glass rod to the viscometer’s shaft. When the sample reaches its gelation time, the display shows both the gelation time and the corresponding viscosity value. The glass rod can be quickly and easily detached from the instrument. The integrated temperature probe provides peak exothermic data when needed. The DV2T is available with a glass measuring rod, a compressible glass rod adapter, an adjustable stopper, a laboratory stand, and a temperature probe.

The test method can be run manually or using the stored program in the instrument's memory.

The DV2T viscometer with gelation time measurement function is preferred for measuring gel coatings, resins, and fillers due to its accuracy and reliability. The viscosity data obtained during the test can also be useful for fully characterizing the material flow behavior.

Pack of 10 glass rods available (use part number GT-1010).

Spare magnetic connectors can be retrofitted to existing viscometers (use part number GT-2000).

The DV2T instrument can also be used as a standard rotational viscometer with any standard viscometer spindle set or measurement accessory.
