UL Adapter ™ Very low viscosity adapter
The UL Adapter™ is ideal for measuring the viscosity of low-viscosity materials and is compatible with general Brookfield AMETEK rotational viscometers and the DVNEXT rheometer. The UL adapter features a coaxial cylinder geometry, where the outer cylinder is equipped with a removable polyethylene closure cap.

This accessory has been specifically designed to provide increased sensitivity for the LV viscometer when measuring low viscosities, but it is also compatible with all models of Brookfield rotational viscometers.
When mounted on an LVF or LVT type viscometer, the UL adapter provides a viscosity range of 1.0 to 10.0 cP and a fixed shear rate of 73.4 1/sec at 60 rpm.
For other viscometer models, the minimum measurable viscosities with the UL adapter are as follows:
- RVT - 6.4 cP
- HAT - 12.8 cP
- HBT - 51.2 cP
The UL adapter features coaxial cylinder geometry, with the outer cylinder having a removable polyethylene closure cap.
With the closure cap attached, the adapter holds 16.0 ml of sample and can be immersed in a water bath for temperature control, up to the maximum recommended temperature of 65°C.
When the closure cap is removed, the adapter can be used with nearly all sizes of sample containers.
